Spring has sprung, or so they say, and soon the sound of spraying pivots will bring a familiar melody to our ears and the lush green fields will delight our eyes. It also means only a couple meetings left until our summer break!
At last months meeting, it was brought up to encourage more local shopping/patronage, if the local businesses would like to entertain the idea of giving a discount to their fellow Chamber member upon showing a membership ID card. (Or perhaps a Chamber Member special announced in the newsletter each month?) It would not be a required member activity, or a set percentage or discount amount. This is simply a marketing tool to encourage more local patronage. As you know, we currently do not issue membership cards, but would be happy to if there is enough interest in this type of marketing. We currently have approximately 100 different businesses as members and some, understandably so, would not be able to offer any discounts due to the nature of their business (i.e. banks/insurance/utilities etc). Please bring your thoughts and ideas on this to our next meeting, and as always, you can write, call, or email us with your feedback as well. We really look forward to hearing from you.
Happy Spring!
